She is called “Kayochin” by her friend Rin. Also of note is that Hanayo is good when it comes to handling children and is known for her catchphrase “Help me!” depending on the media. In fact, it has been her dream to become an idol ever since they were children. Hanayo is closest to Hoshizora Rin because they have been good friends since they were children though gets along with Yasawa Nico because both of them are knowledgeable when it comes to idols. She is also similar to Kotori in a sense that she usually let people decide for her than her making a decision for herself. Similar to Umi, Hanayo is reserved and does not normally speak out her thoughts and or feelings. She also tends to stutter on occasion especially when she is nervous. Of all the members of their group, Koizumi Hanayo is the most shy and most quiet. She is a first year highschool in Otonokizaka Academy and is interested in drawing and origami and obsessed with school idols to the point that she suddenly becomes overly enthusiastic when the topic of the conversation is about idols. She is 15 years old and is of the same age as her friend Hoshizora Rin and her classmate Nikishino Maki, who are both part of the main cast. Koizumi Hanayo is part of the main cast of Love Live! School Idol Project.
